4,600 PST and JEST Teachers Transferred on STR Basis by Sindh Government

The Sindh Education and Literacy Department (SELD), Government of Sindh, has officially issued transfer orders for 4,600 teachers, including Primary School Teachers (PST) and Junior Elementary School Teachers (JEST). 
 According to the notification released today, these transfers have been carried out on STR (Student–Teacher Ratio) basis. The decision aims to ensure a balanced distribution of teachers across schools and to address staff shortages in overcrowded and under-resourced institutions.  Reduce teacher surplus in low-enrollment schools Provide adequate teaching staff to high-enrollment schools Improve classroom management and education quality Strengthen the public education system across Sindh Implementation & Compliance Transferred teachers have been directed to report to their new schools within the stipulated time as mentioned in their respective orders. 

Education officials have emphasized strict compliance to ensure smooth implementation of the policy.
