Historic Teachers Transfer in Sindh: Over 10,250 Teachers Benefited

The Government of Sindh has recently carried out one of the largest teacher transfer exercises in the province’s history. Under the Sindh Teachers Recruitment (STR) and Wedlock Policy, a total of 10,250 teachers have successfully been transferred to their desired stations across Sindh. Key Highlights of the Transfer Process Overall Transfers: More than 10,250 teachers have been transferred through the official STR and wedlock policies. Transfers to Karachi: A significant number of teachers have been moved to Karachi, addressing the shortage of teaching staff in the metropolitan city. Out-of-District Transfers: Hundreds of teachers have been shifted from one district to another, making it easier for them to continue their service closer to their families and homes. Out-of-Taluka Transfers: Many teachers were also transferred between talukas within the same district, bringing much-needed balance to schools with staff shortages. Importance of the Policy The Wedlock Policy has been particularly helpful for married teachers, enabling them to reunite with their families and reducing the burden of long-distance travel. Similarly, STR transfers have ensured better distribution of teachers, so that no school is left with staff shortages while others are overstaffed. A Step Towards Quality Education Download list
